Jason was introduced to Chinese medicine over 15 years ago in his home county of the United States through martial arts. It quickly became a passion of his, and he decided to finalize his path in Chinese medicine at the New Zealand School of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2004.
Along with his degree and diploma’s Jason has continued to further his education with seminars and internships with some of the world’s most renowned Chinese medical doctors such as, Debra Betts, Matt Callison, Dr. Wei-Chieh Young, Dr. Wei-Yen Chang and Dr.Yu Yong-Lin.
Jason has a wide variety of experience from working with professional athletes to being a primary referral for midwife groups in Brisbane. He specializes in treating all types of pain disorders, musculoskeletal complaints, sports injuries and rehab, skin conditions, stress and anxiety, insomnia, digestive complaints, women’s health and pregnancy wellbeing. He also works as a lecturer and clinical supervisor at Endeavour School of Natural Health on the Gold Coast.
Jason was introduced to the community acupuncture structure while he worked at Health Points Acupuncture in Brisbane. This was Australia’s first full time community acupuncture clinic, where seeing five or more patients an hour was not unusual.
At Coastal Community Acupuncture, Jason employs a wide range of acupuncture styles from traditional five-element acupuncture, sports medicine acupuncture and the traditional Tung’s family acupuncture.
He is a member of the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia, Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS).
